Single Parents

IT'S ABOUT COMMUNICATION

In today's world, single parents are very common. 'Experts' have attempted to rationalize that children who are the product of a broken home or those children who never get to know one parent, are no better or worse than those children growing up in in-tact families. However, the statistics that are complied by various government and private agencies clearly show that children living in single parents homes are more AT RISK, than not.

The common denominator for the the vast majority of social ills including the more significant ills, substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, incarceration and suicide, is fatherlessness. This fact is based upon statistics complied by government and private agencies that monitor social trends and conditions.

It is important to remember that children are the product of both a man and a woman.tentplay.

To both single moms and dads, custodial or non-custodial, it is imperative to remember that you are 'role models' for your children. Accordingly, COMMUNICATION is a vital part of your relationship, both with your child and with your child's other parent. Communication should not be aggressive, belligerent or hostile. If these modes of communication exist, it is recommended that both parents see a family coach/educator to help get to and understand the source of confrontational attitudes. When children see, first hand, conflict resolution, as when parents as role models utilize conflict resolution skills, children learn how to resolve conflict without unnecessary entanglements.
Regardless of which type of single parent you are, mom or dad, custodial or non-custodial, the program offered by CPN, the Stepping Stones To Success, A Parenting Guide, will help you enormously in raising your children. It will empower you. The insight you will gain about your children is priceless.
In addition, the insight you will gain about yourself will give you a much better understanding about you... and that knowledge will help you in other adult relationships. (see TESTIMONIALS) One aspect of the Stepping Stones, specifically targets the development of conflict resolution skills; skills that all parents and children need in life.

CPN's FREE LESSON PLAN: Explains What Schools Ignore and WHY!

It also explains: What science teaches; all boys and girls learn differently! Boys and girls have different natural brain circuitry and hormonal differences that makes them experience and process information in different ways! Your knowledge, understanding and acceptance of these differences and the natural tendencies that result in boys and girls from the natural brain circuitry and hormonal differences is a key to understanding boys and girls!

It also explains: What educational experts know; your child, every child, has “multiple intelligences” and that measuring a child’s I.Q. is a very limited and often times very inaccurate way to determine how intelligent your child really is! Children have at least 8 different intelligences. Understanding which intelligences are strong and which are weak is key to academic success! One intelligence is a natural insulator for adverse peer pressure, (APP). Natural leaders are born with it and your child can be a natural leader!

It also explains: YOU CAN STOP A BULLY… BEFORE A CHILD BECOMES A BULLY... and … how to teach your child to deal with a Bully if, need be!
